Corbett

The wolf is rather secretive about just where he came from and who he is... He is the product of a Nemateelu mother and a Naga father. Even he isn't sure what happened to his mother or if he's even still alive. He does know Nemateelu mothers do not generally give up their pups willingly. With that in mind he feels his mother is probably dead. His father raised him up to the age of fifteen. It was then the hybrid found himself on his own again, his father's sudden death at the hands of a raiding party sending the wolf off on his own far to young. The young wolf got by... He stuck close to his grandfather for a time, the senile old Naga not much of a caretaker but he was good company. The pair traveled together for a few years, with Corbett very carefully applying the trade his father had taught him.

His grandfather died with a winter sickness of the lungs. Leaving the wolf entirely on his own, barely an adult and more than a little lonesome. Corbett began traveling. He met up with a somewhat eccentric wolf... The man had more money than brains and was convinced someone wanted to do him in. For a time Corbett took up with him, acting as a body guard to... Nothing really. No one wanted the batty old wolf's estate. He did learn a few things there though. He wasn't the only body guard and through the others he learned more of weaponry and even falconry. When he finally left the man's service he was given a gift for his loyalty. A falcon. He named the bird Razor for the way he cut through the air. He left a bit more knowledgeable of the world.

For a short while the wolf would also get into a spot of trouble. While hunting the wolf ran into slave traders who took one look at the rather... Exotic creature and decided they had to have him... Setting Razor free to the wind to find later, the wolf was forced into a cage, the bastards unfortunately accustomed to one like him... He never even got a bite in! Though he would have loved to give them a bite full of venom... He was sold to a tavern run by dragons. His fate seemed to be sealed to enter the combat pits and fight for the rest of his life. There he met other Nemateelu for the first time... He learned about them. Learned what he was. Learned who he was and what his mother's family was... They also feared him. The distinctive rattle that was heard when he slithered into the pit always brought a look of terror from his opponent...

In one night of pure chaos... The slaves of the market were liberated and all of them walked free. Suddenly finding himself with his freedom, the wolf was at a choice. He could stay with these people... Their obvious fear of him had the wolf choosing solitude again as he left their number. He traveled from town to town then. Always the same. Fear. Fear of what he was. The moment, tell tail rattle would begin to shake when afraid or angry and he was looking for a new place to call home.

At some point in his travels he met up with Razor again... The bird having never been far. He also took up with a dire wolf just as alone as he... He named the feral beast Nomad. For now he travels... The wolf hoping to find a place to stick around a bit...
